We are seeking a Senior Project Manager with deep electrical construction expertise to lead complex projects across Maui (may include outer islands). This role is designed for a highly experienced electrical construction professional who can operate autonomously, mentor teams, interface confidently with general contractors, owners, key stakeholders, and contribute strategically to project execution and preconstruction efforts.
This is a career‑defining opportunity, not a stepping‑stone. Given Maui’s unique market and workforce environment, we expect a long‑term commitment in performance and leadership within the island construction market.
Key Responsibilities
Lead electrical construction projects from preconstruction through closeout, ensuring quality, schedule, and financial performance.
Manage projects across multiple delivery types, including:

Electrical/Lighting retrofits
Develop and manage project budgets, schedules, forecasts, and cost controls.
Proactively identify risks and implement mitigation strategies.
Apply deep knowledge of electrical construction sequencing, means and methods.
Provide technical oversight to field leadership (Superintendents, Foremen, General Foremen).
Review drawings, specifications, and contracts for constructability and scope clarity.
Support estimating efforts, including takeoffs, scope reviews, and pricing strategies when needed.
Serve as the primary point of contact for owners, general contractors, inspectors, designers, and public agencies.
Manage private and public works contracts, including compliance, documentation, and change management.
Lead contract negotiations, change orders, and claims resolution.
Mentor and develop project managers, assistant PMs, and field leadership.
Foster a culture of accountability, professionalism, and continuous improvement.
Set clear expectations and model strong communication and emotional intelligence.
Partner with leadership on preconstruction strategy, staffing plans, and long‑term operational improvements.
Contribute to business planning and operational scalability within the Maui market.
Required Qualifications
10+ years of construction industry experience.
5+ years managing electrical construction projects.
Demonstrated expertise in ground‑up electrical construction, commercial remodels, fire alarm systems, and electrical/lighting retrofits.
Experience managing both private sector and public works projects.
Either an Electrical Journeyman License or an Engineering Degree (Electrical or related discipline).
Strong estimating capability with the ability to price and scope electrical work.
Exceptional written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.
Strong critical thinking skills with the ability to learn quickly and adapt.
Proven ability to lead complex projects with minimal oversight.
Preferred / Differentiators
PMP Certification.
Professional Engineer (PE) License.
Master Electrician License.
Professional experience as an Estimator or Chief Estimator.
Experience in roles such as Senior Project Manager, Project Executive, Superintendent, General Foreman, Service Manager, Preconstruction Manager.
Maui Commitment Requirement
Must present a strong, credible case for relocating to Maui.
View this as a long‑term professional and lifestyle decision, not a short‑term assignment.

Competitive executive‑level compensation with strong incentive upside.
Opportunity to shape teams, processes, and project outcomes.
