Mandatory skills and skill proficiencies required for this position:
Bachelor of Science in Engineering (Mechanical or Electrical Engineering preferred).
Minimum 8 years of experience in Driveline or Powertrain components with OEM and/or tier 1/2 supplier.
Demonstrated solid understanding of Powertrain / Driveline Systems and Components
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Excellent problem-solving skills.
Must be able to manage multiple complex projects simultaneously.
Some travel required to Supplier and Vehicle Assembly Plants -- including Canada & Mexico.
Comprehensive understanding: Efficiency tools from Google and Microsoft.
Extensive knowledge: Efficiency software from Google and Microsoft.
The candidate should feel at ease in the corporate office environment and be mindful of the level of integrity that is encouraged.
Experience with Design Failure Mode & Effects Analysis (DFMEA).
Experience with Design Verification Plan & Report (DVP&R)
High level of proficiency in English (speaking, reading, writing)
Optional skills:
Green/black belt in Shainin or DFSS desirable.
CAE/CFD experiences on Powertrain structures.
Hands‑on involvement in the repair/modification of a vehicle or other technically complex project.
