This role is located in Dahlgren, VA and will support the Surface Combat Systems Training Command (SCSTC) by providing Network Administrative Support, Information Management, Computer and Local Area Network (LAN) Administration, Cyber Security, System Assessment and Authorization (A&A), Functional Area Needs Analysis/Research, Technical Documentation, and Technical Helpdesk Support. Travel may be required to locations such as Mayport FL, Pearly Harbor HI, Everett WA, Norfolk VA, Rota Spain, and Yokosuka Japan.
Base pay range: $120,000.00/yr - $130,000.00/yr.
Key Responsibilities
Network Administrative Support including Computer and Local Area Network (LAN) Administration.
Cyber Security tasks covering System Assessment and Authorization (A&A).
Functional Area Needs Analysis/Research.
Technical Documentation and Technical Helpdesk Support.
Travel to key locations as required.
Required Skills and Knowledge
Cybersecurity fundamentals: principles, threats, vulnerabilities, risk management processes.
Encryption algorithms: IPSEC, AES, GRE, IKE, MD5, SHA, 3DES.
Data backup and recovery, disaster recovery, continuity of operations.
Host/network access control (ACLs), incident response, intrusion detection, network traffic analysis.
Network protocols (TCP/IP, OSI model) and system/application security threats (buffer overflow, cross‑site scripting, SQL injection).
Security architecture concepts, national and international cybersecurity laws, emerging threats.
Enterprise incident response program, roles, and responsibilities.
Penetration testing principles, tools, and techniques.
Computer networking concepts, protocols, and security methodology.
System performance monitoring, software and organizational design standards (ISO guidelines).
System life‑cycle management, system/server administration, operating systems.
Network security architecture, network systems management, hardening techniques.
Cloud computing services (SaaS, IaaS, PaaS), cloud security strategy, and architecture.
Data security standards for PII, PCI, PHI.
Leadership: program management, resource management, risk management, secure acquisitions.
IT supply chain security and risk management.
Knowledge of applicable laws, statutes, Presidential Directives, and guidelines related to cybersecurity and privacy.
Understanding of organizational risk tolerance and risk management approaches.
Critical IT procurement requirements.
Experience Four (4) years’ experience.
Certification Information Assurance Technology (IAT) Level II (e.g., CompTIA Security+).
Clearance All Contractor personnel shall possess at the time of Task Order award a current SECRET clearance based on a Tier 3 (T3)/Tier 3 Reinvestigation (T3R) completed within the last 10 years.
Other Hiring Considerations Preference is given to candidates who reside in a Historically Underutilized Business Zone (HUBZone).
