Position Summary The asphalt plant operator will repair and maintain the electrical and mechanical components of a hot mix asphalt plant and operate the plant to produce hot mix asphalt. This position reports to the asphalt plant foreperson and plays an essential role in ensuring the highest quality hot mix asphalt for our customers. The job is full‑time seasonal, working April through November (weather permitting), with overtime and some Saturdays. Local and regional travel may be required.

Qualifications
Mechanical and/or electrical experience preferred
Great candidates include:
Heavy Duty Mechanic/Fabricator
Welding experience
Electricians with control experience
Must be at least 18 years old
Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation
Physical ability to work in all seasonal weather and environmental conditions
Ability to listen and take direction from others while being a team player and helping to train less experienced employees
