Note: This position is located at
Shadow Plastics ; a division of Rice Lake Weighing Systems.
Hours: Midnight-6am Wednesday, 6pm-6am Thursday, Friday and Saturday.
Shift: 12-4 (SP412).
The operator is responsible for maintaining a safe, clean, and productive work environment. All employees are expected to communicate any health or safety matters promptly. The operator must receive, follow through with work instructions, and ensure that work orders are completed efficiently and with high quality. Responsibilities include running bag machines, performing roll and bag packaging, making safe, efficient splices, assembling boxes as needed, operating the core-cutter, general housekeeping, and supporting shift efficiency through teamwork, changeovers, wrapping, banding pallets, and other tasks.
Skills
Ability to read and understand work orders
Capability to read and use a tape measure
Basic math skills
Ability to use basic hand tools, including utility knives
Physical Demands
Lifting up to 50 pounds
Constant standing
Frequent walking
Ability to drive sit-down and stand-up forklifts
Occasional climbing (ladders and stairs)
