Extrusion Operator – 3rd Shift

Monday–Friday, 3:00 PM – 11:00 PM
Starting Pay:
$18.00+ per hour (based on experience)
Shift Differential:
$1.75
Base Pay Range:
$18.00/hr - $19.00/hr
Overview Americhem is actively hiring Extrusion Operators to join our Concord, NC manufacturing team. Americhem is one of the world’s largest manufacturers of custom color concentrates. Our production operators play a critical role in setting up, operating, and maintaining extrusion equipment to produce high-quality compounds used in a wide range of finished products.
Key Responsibilities
Maintain the highest level of safety by following all safety procedures, participating in safety programs, and proactively identifying safety improvements.
Set up, operate, and tend extrusion equipment to produce compound samples according to specifications.
Use production equipment including extruders, scales, feeders, classifiers, pelletizers, dies, and calibration devices.
Perform routine preventative maintenance to keep machinery and mechanical equipment in optimal working condition.
Load color mix into feeders using a tow motor/forklift to lift and position color pots correctly.
Ensure product quality, accuracy, and adherence to production standards.
Required Qualifications
High school diploma or equivalent.
1–2 years of manufacturing or production experience preferred.
Mechanical aptitude with the ability to troubleshoot equipment issues.
Forklift/tow motor experience preferred.
Strong math and analytical skills.
Dependable, reliable, and self‑motivated work ethic.
