Material Handler 2
– RJW Logistics Group Job Purpose: Perform loading/unloading of RJW trucks and outside carriers, ensure proper storage of shipments, pick orders from warehouse inventory as directed by customer. Essential Duties And Responsibilities
Loading/unloading trucks/trailers safely and efficiently using proper procedures, including outside carrier equipment. Picking and moving items from 1 lb to 50 lbs or more multiple times. Ensuring all documentation is properly completed. Coordinating with dispatch and sales to resolve discrepancies. Properly storing all inbound loads in the correct warehouse location. Marking shipments before storing/picking. Maintaining warehouse area with orderly stacking and good housekeeping. Spotting of trailers to maintain efficient yard organization and flow of equipment into warehouse. Coordinating paperwork with drivers after dispatch operations are finished for the day. General maintenance surrounding the warehouse. Sweeping trailers clean of debris when empty. Ensuring shipments are correctly staged and loaded properly. Processing outbound freight and cross‑dock freight as necessary. Operating stand‑up reach forklifts, cherry pickers, and some sit‑down forklift work. Following all safety procedures at all times. Building pallets and breaking down stock. Working in a fast‑paced warehouse. Performing other tasks as assigned by manager. Additional Responsibilities
Operating a forklift, cherry picker, and stand‑up reach forklift. Demonstrating good communication, problem‑resolution and people skills. Maintaining orderly operation of the warehouse. Qualifications
1 year forklift driving experience. Certified forklift license. Education And Experience
High School Diploma or GED preferred. Language Skills
Must be able to communicate, read, write and speak English. Ability to read, analyze and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures or governmental regulations. Ability to write reports, business correspondence and procedure manuals. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients and customers. Computer Skills
Knowledge of business operating systems, internet software, word processing and spreadsheet software. Physical Demands
Lifting and/or moving up to 50 pounds occasionally. Activating phone systems utilizing keyboards and buttons. Articular and comfortable speaking in front of others. Works in indoor/office environment; required to sit and/or use repetitive hand motion. Frequently required to talk, hear, stand and walk. Must be able to work in excess of continuous 8 hours when required. Must work under stressful situations, maintain accuracy and concentrate on multiple tasks. Must have 20/20 corrected vision to read and discern visual images on a variety of media. Must be able to speak and communicate clearly over telephone. Must be in sound physical health per certified licensed physician with no evidence of controlled substances use. Work Environment
Occasional exposure to moving mechanical parts and fumes or airborne particles; noise level ranges from quiet to moderately loud. Employer Rights
