Job Summary Old Main Village senior living community in Mankato, MN is seeking a

PART‑TIME CAREGIVER

to join their clinical team. This community offers independent living, assisted living, and respite care within a beautifully landscaped historic environment featuring 72 residences.

Shift and Availability Shift: 5pm – 9pm. Must be available for rotational coverage on weekends and holidays.

Compensation Wage: $16–$23 per hour, based on experience.

Essential Job Functions, Duties, and Responsibilities

Perform simple procedures as an extension of therapy services under the direction and supervision of the nurse (e.g., range of motion exercises, assistance in ambulation or exercises).

Assist with personal care activities including bathing, grooming, dressing, toileting, skin/nail care, oral hygiene, shaving, and other directed activities.

Perform household services essential to health care at home, such as meal preparation/feeding, laundry and ironing, changing laundry bed linens, light housekeeping, and other offered services.

Initiate and participate in leisure activities provided for residents, encouraging socialization and program participation.

Observe and document the health and emotional condition of each resident, promptly reporting changes to the nurse.

Respond promptly and courteously to resident requests for assistance and emergency pull cords.

Promote personal safety and a safe environment for residents by following infection control practices, facility guidelines, and reporting unsafe situations to the nurse.

Assist residents in preparing for and transporting them to appointments and social programs.

Assist with moving and transporting residents into and out of beds, chairs, bathtubs, wheelchairs, lifts, etc.

Assist residents to walk with or without self‑help devices as instructed.

Required Skills and Qualifications • Ability to make independent decisions, follow instructions, and accept constructive criticism. • Tactful communication with personnel, residents, families, visitors, government agencies, and the general public. • Capability to work with ill, disabled, elderly, or emotionally upset people. • Proficiency in speaking, writing, and understanding English sufficient for effective communication with supervisors, employees, residents, and families.

Education and Experience Prefer 6 months or more of experience in a home care, assisted living, or long‑term care facility.
