Under the direction of the Head of Extended Day & Interlibrary Loan Services, the Coordinator supervises part‑time staff and workflow for Library Circulation and Interlibrary Loan Services during extended day hours. The work schedule is Monday‑Thursday 1:00 pm‑9:00 pm and Friday or Saturday 9:00 am‑2:00 pm, with possible changes following the Library’s schedule.
The coordinator provides expert end‑user support, managing data entry and reporting in CUNYfirst, ILLiad, Odyssey, Alma, and other library systems, ensuring accurate and timely service.
Responsibilities
Coordinate day‑to‑day library activities, including customer service, work schedules, and training of Extended Day and Interlibrary Loan staff and work‑study students.
Act as liaison between the 9‑to‑5 Library staff and the Head of Services to facilitate smooth transitions and problem‑solving.
Liaise with departments to coordinate circulation, interlibrary loan, and other service requests.
Maintain interlibrary loan databases, records, and files to ensure accuracy, compliance, and confidentiality.
Support purchasing and budget tasks, assisting the Head of Services with procurement processes.
Coordinate office equipment usage and troubleshoot issues with the online circulation system and other equipment.
Provide end‑user support using interlibrary loan software, including searching for availability, processing eJournal delivery, creating pickup jobs, handling UPS/outgoing delivery requests, and monitoring delivery fees.
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree required.
Preferred Qualifications
Knowledge of automated library systems.
Experience with ILLiad, OCLC, and other resource‑sharing systems.
Windows‑based computing experience, including Microsoft Office.
Strong written and interpersonal communication skills.
Ability to work autonomously.
Excellent customer service to a diverse patron base.
Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast‑paced environment.
Availability for evening and weekend hours.
Compensation and Benefits Salary: $48,667 – $68,668. Salary commensurate with education and experience.
