Job Summary
The Case Coordinator is responsible for managing and coordinating treatment activities offered to the patient, interfacing with the treatment team, external case managers and managed care organizations, and implementing and supervising discharge planning. The coordinator tracks all admission and continued stay reviews for pre‑certifications, works closely with the Intake/Needs Assessment Department and Clinical Treatment Team to ensure utilization management for continued stay reviews, and actively participates in the treatment team to facilitate aftercare planning, appointment setting, and placement referrals for discharge. The coordinator follows all company policies, procedures, and the Corporate Compliance Program.
Ridge Behavioral Health is a 110‑bed, behavioral health hospital located in Lexington, KY offering psychiatric and substance use treatment for children, adolescents, and adults. The facility provides inpatient, partial hospitalization, intensive outpatient programs, individual counseling, and medication management. It has served more than 92 Kentucky counties for over 36 years and was the recipient of the 2019 Service Excellence Award.

Qualifications Education
Master’s degree in Social Work, Psychology, or other mental health field; or RN license is preferred
Minimum Associate Degree with 5 years of mental health experience required
Experience
One to two years of experience in a psychiatric hospital (preferred)
One to two years of experience in Utilization Management (preferred)
Certifications/Licensure
Crisis intervention training required (training also offered upon hire)
CPR certification
Other Skills
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
