Salary Range:
$19.91-$25.38 per hour. (Traffic Maintenance I: $18.77-$23.93. Traffic Maintenance II: $19.91-$25.38). Applications will no longer be accepted starting [date unknown].
Job Summary Performs semi‑skilled work in fabrication and installation of right‑of‑way signs and pavement markings. Ensures proper placement of traffic barricades, cones, temporary raised humps, temporary curbing, delineator posts, driver feedback signs. May assist with traffic control for special events, maintenance, and construction activities under supervisor direction. Work hours 6:30 am–5:00 pm, four days a week, with occasional off‑shifts and holidays.
Minimum Qualifications Traffic Maintenance I
High School Diploma/G.E.D. and one (1) year experience in signs and markings installation (required) or equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.
Valid Florida Driver's License (required).
Florida Intermediate Temporary Traffic Control (TTC) or Maintenance of Traffic (MOT) certification (required within six (6) months of hire).
International Municipal Signs & Markings Level I certification (required within six (6) months of hire).
Safety‑conscious; work performed in the streets.
Computer skills and Microsoft Office knowledge desired.
Traffic Maintenance II
High School Diploma/G.E.D. and three (3) years experience in signs and markings installation (required) or equivalent.
Valid Florida Driver's License (required).
Certified International Municipal Signs & Markings Level I (required).
Florida Intermediate Temporary Traffic Control (TTC) or Maintenance of Traffic (MOT) certification (required).
Safety‑conscious; work performed in the streets.
Computer skills and Microsoft Office knowledge desired.
Level II Signs & Marking certification preferred.
