Position Highlights
Position: Diet Clerk
Location: Edward Hospital – Naperville, IL
Type: Per Diem – As Needed
Hours: Rotating Evenings, 3:00 PM – 8:00 PM with rotating weekends and holidays
What You Will Do
The Diet Clerk is responsible for operating the room service call center, answering the phone when patients call for their meal order, and entering meal orders into the CBORD system for transmission to the room service line.
This position requires familiarity with all menu offerings, diet variations, and specifics of what may be ordered by patients based on their physician‑prescribed diet.
What You Will Need
Certification: State of Illinois Food Handler Training Certificate Program (ANSI Accredited) required within 30 days of start
Preferred: High School Diploma or GED and minimum of one year of food service experience in a healthcare setting
