Overview
The 2nd Shift Chemical Operator (2PM - 10:30PM) position creates chemical blends (Blending) in accordance with customer specifications. In This Role, You Will Be Responsible For
Verifies the tank to be used for the chemical blend. Follow all instructions on the blending sheet to create the chemical blend. Connect all proper hoses to tanks and pumps. On each blending sheet, employees record the lot number and amount of each additive used. Presents the blend sheet to the lab when finished. Communicate with the lab for blend approvals and/or corrections. Transfers approved product to storage vessel. Responsible for organizing additive bins. Maintains the plant and warehouse in an organized, safe and clean manner. Control/maintain Tank Farm raw material tank levels and inventories. Perform preventative maintenance and minor repairs on Tank Farm equipment. Conduct analytical testing to confirm blends meet quality specifications. Skills And Qualifications
High school diploma and previous experience in a chemical manufacturing setting preferred. Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Physical Requirements
This role frequently requires the employee to walk; reach with hands and arms; stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. Manufacturing plant setting with exposure to noise, heat, cold, and moving machinery. Will require working in outside weather conditions and is occasionally exposed to wet and/or humid conditions. Requires use of personal protective equipment (PPE). May involve climbing ladders, working at heights, or in tight spaces. The noise level in the work environment can be loud. What We Have To Offer
