Responsibilities
Deliver friendly, courteous, and helpful customer service under direct supervision.
Assist customers, clean shelves and display cases, and maintain the Meat Wrap displays.
Collaborate with customers for special orders and with the Meat Cutter to determine cut items.
Perform physical tasks such as lifting up to 60 lbs., bending, standing, and stooping for prolonged periods.
Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment in a fast‑paced grocery setting.
Qualifications
Fluent reading and writing in Spanish and English; ability to interact with the general public and co‑workers.
Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, product labels, pricing codes, shelf tags, short correspondence, and memos.
Capacity to write simple correspondence.
Effectively present information in one‑on‑one or small group settings.
Common sense understanding for detailed written or oral instructions.
Physical ability to regularly lift and/or move up to 25 lbs., frequently 45 lbs., and occasionally 60 lbs.
Basic PC/Outlook skills (extra credit).
Retail Management Certificate (extra credit).
Physical Requirements Lifting, standing, walking, kneeling, bending, and visual/auditory demands typical of a fast‑paced grocery store.
Certification Food Handler Card or equivalent certification required for all food preparation and handling positions.
