Purpose of Position

Coordinate and expedite the flow of materials according to production schedules, including planning and scheduling of material/production needs. Work with manufacturing to determine the resources needed to meet production schedules. Monitor inventory levels and coordinate with purchasing and inventory to maintain adequate levels of parts and raw materials. Tasks And Responsibilities

Develop and maintain supply schedule by using MRP output to prioritize material requirements to ensure uninterrupted plant workflow. Convert and communicate demand requirements for products and material into detailed plans and requisitions for inventory acquisition. Reviews product lead-time, min-max levels, and safety stock level to accurately determine amount of materials needed. Manage the replenishment cycle, including PO/WO creation, PO/WO follow-up, inventory relief, transfer of materials (if required) and receipt of goods. Work with appropriate departments’ i.e. purchasing, manufacturing, and scheduling to communicate potential issues/risks and provide projected availability and/or short-term options to avoid service interruptions. Maintain planning system integrity and optimize parameters relative to material planning data. Monitor and recommend safety stock levels for each item in planning portfolio on regular intervals. Analyze changing material demand patterns. Minimum Education

Associates degree in Business, Operation Management or Supply Chain Minimum Experience

two years experience in related environment field Knowledge, Skills, Abilities

Must have thorough knowledge of manufacturing processes needed to manufacture mechanical and electrical assemblies. Must be able to read blueprints and interpret drawings and bills of materials. Microsoft Office, Word, AutoDesk, Syteline, and MRP software preferred. Physical Demands and Work Environment

While performing the duties of this Job, the employee is regularly required to sit and use hands to finger, handle, or feel. The employee is frequently required to talk or hear. The employee is occasionally required to stand; walk; reach with hands and arms and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 10 pounds.
