Material Control Clerk – Bilfinger Industrial Services Inc., Kansas City, MO

We seek a self‑motivated individual to verify and maintain records on incoming and outgoing shipments, prepare items for shipment, and support construction and field operations. The role requires strong organizational skills, knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite, Asset Tracking, and SAP.
Responsibilities
Receive and coordinate unload and storage of all Bilfinger purchased materials.
Handle all material returns and site shipping needs.
Maintain tracking mechanism (MRR Log) for the location and transfer of all materials by purchase order, demonstrating chain of custody on all stored materials.
Process requests to pull materials from storage for transfer into the field.
Enter receivers in CCP to ensure real‑time traceability for interested parties.
Requisition material in CCP as required by the demands of the site.
Cross‑train with buyer on purchasing activities.
Provide insight and recommendations to the Commercial Manager on areas of improvement in receiving and warehouse operations.
Support construction with timely and accurate information and service.
Maintain site consumable inventory and procure/distribute commonly used consumables (small hand tools, personal protective equipment, seasonal PPE).
Maintain site rental equipment log and coordinate with the site buyer to obtain and release rental equipment.
Work with the Site Manager or Superintendent to ensure proper inspection and departure of rental equipment (photographing and tagging).
Maintain and repair site‑owned tools/equipment, performing required safety inspections.
Develop and execute tracking and security procedures for all site‑owned tools, inventory, and equipment.
Maintain completeness and accuracy in the Asset Panda system.
Conduct site tool inventory audits as required.
Oversee and perform receiving and tracking procedures for the warehouse, including but not limited to asset tagging, SAP, notifications, and supplier research.
Requirements
High School Diploma with 2–3 years of industrial construction experience.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills, time management, and organizational skills.
Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite, Asset Tracking, and SAP.
Mechanic skills desirable, particularly with small mobile equipment (forklift, golf carts, aerial lifts).
Forklift training preferred.
OSHA 10 & 30 training preferred.
Collaboration and team‑building skills.
Problem‑solving and negotiating skills.
Compensation and Benefits Salary: $40,000.00 – $50,000.00. 401(k) and other competitive benefits available.
