Position Summary The Maintenance Technician is responsible for maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing production and facility equipment to ensure safe, reliable, and efficient operations. Technicians at all levels contribute to preventive maintenance, equipment uptime, and continuous improvement across the plant.
Key Responsibilities
Perform maintenance and repairs on injection molding presses, auxiliary equipment, automation, robotics, and assembly systems.
Support facility maintenance, including building systems, lighting, HVAC, air systems, water lines, and overhead cranes.
Complete routine preventive maintenance tasks and document findings.
Inspect equipment during PMs and report abnormal wear, unusual noises, missing components, or potential failure points.
Troubleshoot and repair mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and basic electrical issues.
Assist with installation, relocation, and commissioning of new and existing equipment.
Participate in continuous improvement initiatives and support uptime, quality, and safety goals.
Maintain accurate maintenance records and documentation.
Assist with parts identification, ordering, and inventory management.
Provide support and guidance to operators and other internal customers to ensure safe and proper equipment use.
Follow all safety, quality, and SQF-related procedures.
Perform other duties as assigned.
Requirements & Qualifications Experience and proficiency may vary by level, but all applicants should meet the following baseline qualifications:
Technical training, trade school certificate, Associate degree, or equivalent experience.
Prior maintenance experience in a manufacturing environment (injection molding preferred).
Mechanical aptitude and familiarity with hydraulics, pneumatic, and basic electrical systems.
Strong problem-solving and root cause analysis skills.
Forklift certification or willingness to obtain one.
Experience using or working with overhead cranes, or willingness to be trained.
Ability to maintain a personal toolbox with essential tools.
Commitment to teamwork and internal customer service.
Reliable attendance and adherence to safety policies.
Physical Requirements
Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
Able to crouch, kneel, climb, and reach as needed.
Able to stand for 8–9 hours per shift.
Able to work in a non-air‑conditioned manufacturing environment.
