Job Summary Individual will be working in custom metal working, wire fabrication setting as a facilities maintenance technician. Responsible for maintaining and repairing infrastructure, equipment, and systems that support daily operations within a manufacturing facility. This role ensures that the physical plant and building systems function efficiently and safely, minimizing downtime and supporting continuous production. Must be comfortable troubleshooting and be electrically and mechanically inclined.
Essential Functions
Repairs and maintains physical structures, facility grounds, HVAC, electrical, plumbing, compressed air systems, fire protection and alarm systems, boiler systems, water treatment systems, ventilation systems, and overhead and dock leveler systems.
Work closely with production and engineering teams to support machinery relocation, utility connections, and line setup.
Repairs, maintains and installs low voltage electrical systems, appliances and fixtures.
Patches concrete and performs repairs on roof and furniture.
Perform PMs on building equipment and complete compliance checks.
Requests assistance from others for any problems beyond area of knowledge or expertise.
Uses a variety of hand and power tools.
Follows detailed instructions from others or written format.
Maintain accurate records of inspections, service logs, and regulatory compliance documents.
Use computerized maintenance management systems (CMMS) to track work orders, preventive maintenance schedules, and repairs.
Secondary Functions
Maintain equipment, wiring, fixtures, and lighting throughout facility and grounds.
Participate in continuous improvement efforts such as 5S and lean manufacturing initiatives.
Adhere to OSHA standards and enforce safety protocols throughout the facility.
Adhere to proper LOTO (Lock out tag out) procedures.
Adhere to preventative maintenance schedule.
Verify inventory and order parts as needed.
Able to read electrical schematics, prints, etc.
Performs other related duties as assigned.

Ability to work independently and part of a team.
Ability to accept responsibility.
Ability to read and follow detailed instructions.
Quality of work.
Work order completion.
Compliance with company policies (e.g. Safety, Attendance, etc.).
Supervisory Responsibility N/A
Position Type / Expected Hours of Work
Full-Time, Monday to Friday; 4AM-12:30PM
On-call/Overtime. Nights and weekends as work demands.
Education and Experience
High school diploma or equivalent required.
3–5 years of experience in facilities maintenance within a manufacturing or industrial environment required.
Electrical experience required.
Trade experience or schooling a plus.
Skills
Must be able to communicate in English, both written and verbally.
Ability to read, write, and comprehend work orders.
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
Ability to work well with others or in an individual capacity.
Ability to read electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic blueprints.
Experience in Welding a plus.
Experience in Fabrication a plus.
Knowledge of Rigging and moving machinery.
Knowledge of Boiler systems.
Knowledge of HVAC systems.
Experience with Fire systems.
Experience with Air compressors.
Certificates, Licenses and Registrations N/A
Working Conditions / Physical Demands
Able to lift 50 pounds repetitively.
Able to work in a production environment.
Requires bending/stooping.
Able to walk, stand and otherwise perform job functions on concrete floors with safety boots/shoes.
Work in manufacturing environment occasionally being exposed to dust, odors, fumes and noise.
Work in extreme hot and cold weather.
