Reporting to the Assistant Vice President of Undergraduate Admissions, this position serves as the lead for the freshman recruitment team and acts as the admissions expert for territory management and counselor support. The Associate Director will directly supervise admissions personnel and will manage key operational areas including travel budgets and event‑planning support related to the new student enrollment cycle. The successful candidate will effectively train, mentor, and support new admissions counselors throughout the admissions process while also maintaining responsibility for their own recruitment territory and managing special projects assigned by the Assistant Vice President. A strong commitment to working with and serving diverse staff and student populations is essential, along with an understanding of the value that diversity brings to the campus community. Outstanding written and oral communication skills, including strong public speaking abilities, are required. Candidates must be able to work in a fast‑paced environment, manage multiple priorities, and be willing to work extended hours, including early mornings, evenings, and weekends‑as needed throughout the year. Analyze data, trends, and performance metrics to inform decision‑making and adjust recruitment strategies as needed. Support university‑wide event planning related to the new student enrollment cycle, including open houses, information sessions, and yield activities. Assist the Assistant Vice President in developing and implementing recruitment strategies and special projects that support enrollment objectives. Maintain a strong customer‑service orientation and provide timely, professional communication to prospective students, families, counselors, and partners. Demonstrate a commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion in all recruitment practices and interactions.
