Job Summary Now Hiring Public Safety & Emergency Management Director
This leader plans, develops, directs and monitors the system-wide activities along with the quality outcomes of the Public Safety & Emergency Management department. In this role, the leader functions as a Co‑Safety Officer, and is the primary lead for emergency planning and management, who also acts as advisor and consultant to administration and staff regarding all security, safety, and emergency management matters. This leader also sets the tone and models positive leadership behavior, while ensuring department and division projects and responsibilities are completed successfully in support of organizational goals and regulatory compliance.
Required Qualifications
Five (5) years of senior supervisory experience in healthcare public safety and emergency management field, law enforcement or military.
Certification in Emergency Management within 120 days of hire.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience leading and coordinating initiatives with local county Sheriff’s Office, Fire Marshall and other law enforcement and emergency services providers.
Certified Safety Professional (CSP) or Certified Healthcare Safety Specialist (CHSP).
Certification in National Incident Management System (NIMS) in health care or equivalent, including IIS-100, 200, 300, 400, IS-700 and IS-800.
