What to Expect (Job Responsibilities)
Conduct inpatient auditing of coders to ensure a minimum coding accuracy of 95%
Perform quality checks and audits on medical records coded according to client SOPs
Execute calibration audits and suggest improvements for coding processes
Prepare audit reports and provide feedback to coders and auditors on areas for improvement
Participate in client interactions and internal stakeholder meetings to discuss coding accuracy and compliance
What is Required (Qualifications)
Current permanent United States work authorization and ability to work U.S. day shift schedule
Minimum of 2 years of coding experience across multiple specialties, including denial review and appeals
Minimum of 2 years of experience as a coding auditor with proven accuracy and compliance
Required certification: CPC
Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and familiarity with encoder tools and EMR systems
How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications)
AHIMA microcredentials: Auditing: Inpatient Coding (AIC) and/or Auditing: Outpatient Coding (AOC); AAPC CPMA certification
RHIA credential preferred
Experience with Epic, Cerner, and Meditech systems
Familiarity with revenue cycle systems and financial analysis
Encoder experience with 3M/Solventum, Encoder Pro, Codify
