WHAT YOU WILL DO: As a GTAW Operator - Robotic Welder, you will play a critical role in producing high-quality welded components for aerospace and defense applications.
You will:
Review work instructions, routings, and weld procedures to understand dimensions, tolerances, sequences, and setup requirements
Operate GTAW (TIG) robotic welding equipment to produce consistent, high-quality axial (band) welds without parameter changes
Perform well-established circumferential welds with minimal setup on proven programs
Weld similar and dissimilar metals, including stainless steel, nickel, and cobalt alloys, primarily in the flat position
Demonstrate proper use and understanding of welding equipment features and controls
Perform basic fitting, forming, and grinding operations to support weld quality and part readiness
Maintain weld quality standards, ensuring work meets in-process and final inspection requirements
Follow all safety, quality, and documentation requirements in a regulated aerospace manufacturing environment
WHAT EXPERIENCE YOU NEED:
High school diploma or GED; coursework in mechanical drawing, shop math, materials, or structural fundamentals preferred
Ability to qualify machine‑welded groove welds on 0.032" thick stainless steel, nickel, and cobalt alloys
Familiarity with AWS weld symbols and terminology (AWS A2.4 and AWS A3.0) is a plus
Experience or exposure to machine or robotic welding techniques preferred
Strong attention to detail, pride in workmanship, and a safety‑first mindset
