Forklift Operator 1st Shift
Ryder is immediately hiring permanent full‑time forklift operators for the Northlake, Texas location.
Pay & Schedule
Hourly Pay: $20.00 per hour
Schedule: Wednesday – Saturday 6:00 AM – 4:00 PM; currently 6 days per week for ramp‑up period
Products & Equipment
Products being handled: consumer packaged goods
Equipment: stand‑up forklift, slip sheet, RF scanner

Responsibilities
Perform warehouse functions including loading, picking, packing, shipping, receiving, forklift operation, and cycle counting.
Adhere to performance measurement guidelines of the contract.
Accurately pick and pack, audit, tote induction, staging of products, and load/unload trucks.
Handle day‑to‑day paperwork (picking sheets, returns, bills of lading).
Provide technical and maintenance support for automated packing system during core shift hours.
Perform other duties as assigned.
Requirements
High school diploma or equivalent (preferred).
One year or more related warehouse and/or powered industrial truck experience (preferred).
Valid forklift operator license, certified.
Strong verbal and written communication skills.
Ability to work independently and as a team member.
Team player able to work within a diverse work environment.
Ability to create and maintain professional relationships at all levels.
Highly thorough, dependable, punctual, good attendance record.
Can perform work independently with minimal supervision.
Possesses high degree of initiative and demonstrates high level of accuracy, even under pressure.
Ability to lift / push / pull up to 35 lbs.
Ability to stand for long periods.
Familiar with health and safety methods.
Flexible schedule across various shifts.
Detail oriented with excellent follow‑up practices.
