Haul Truck Operator

Elam Construction, a division of Summit Materials, is looking for a mechanically inclined, safety-oriented Haul Truck Driver to operate Articulated Haul Truck in our aggregate sites. This position is responsible for safely and efficiently operating heavy‑doy off‑road dump trucks to transport materials within mining, quarry, or heavy construction sites regulated by MSHA. The driver will perform routine inspections, maintain equipment in compliance with MSHA Part 46/48 requirements, and support overall site productivity and safety.
Roles & Responsibilities
Observe site and safety conditions continuously.
Perform daily maintenance and inspect equipment before start of shift.
Report any safety or mechanical issues to supervisor immediately.
Maintain an equipment inspection log and submit it daily.
Refuel equipment as required, ensuring all safety protocols are observed.
Operate equipment in a safe and efficient manner, maintaining full control.
Contribute to productivity goals to produce high‑quality end products under direction of foreman and pit supervisor.
Skills And Qualifications
MSHA training a plus but not required.
Professional and courteous attitude toward co‑workers and supervisors.
Arrive at assigned job site in proper attire and ready to begin work at the designated start time.
Willingness to work in a team environment and assist co‑workers or supervisors with other duties as required.
