Flooring Estimator Central IL
Base pay range
An estimator's typical responsibilities include: Analyzing plans, figures and quantities, measuring job sites, inspections and other project documentation to estimate costs; researching, sourcing, negotiating and obtaining the best prices and quotes from suppliers and subcontractors; following the process from start to finish and customer follow up is key.
Duties
Maintain a clean and neat showroom
Provide outstanding customer service
Handle sales from start to finish
Sell flooring and floor care products
Answer customer questions
Help customers with decorating and/or design advice
Prospect for new business
Manage time in the showroom, in the customer's home and prospecting for new clients
Undergo extensive product and sales training to become a certified flooring and design expert
Keep up-to-date on the wide selection of floors we offer along with the benefits and warranties provided by each
Requirements
College degree a plus, but not required
Retail sales experience a plus
Passion and/or experience decorating or designing
Self‑starter
Personally well‑organized
Microsoft Office a plus
Flexible work hours to include weekends
Valid Driver's License and reliable transportation for in‑home visits
