Essential Functions

Adhere to and enforce the highest standards in safety and good manufacturing practices plant-wide.

Train and lead Operators, Mechanics and Supervisors on technical procedures related to high‑speed bottle manufacturing and packaging.

Work directly with plant leadership to develop and execute projects involving continuous improvement, upgrades, and the resolution of re‑occurring problems.

Rapidly identify machine problems to minimize equipment downtime with root cause analysis to prevent re‑occurrence.

Partner with other Sr. Maintenance Technicians to resolve cross‑functional problems.

Use available software systems to analyze and identify issues to drive throughput performance.

Define requirements and lead overhaul efforts to rebuild equipment to like‑new status during planned downtime.

Transfer knowledge to Niagara team members to develop operating and troubleshooting procedures in specific bottling production specializations such as blow molding, filling/capping, labeling technology, and dry‑end packaging.

Transfer knowledge in injection technology areas including Husky injection molding machines, auxiliary systems, mold systems, and related processes.

Maintain regular and predictable attendance; on‑call availability is essential for equipment and facility uptime.

Stand or walk for extended periods; lift up to 50 lbs.; use own toolbox and basic tools.

Recognize that responsibilities may change with or without notice.

Qualifications

Minimum 6 years of experience in a maintenance manufacturing environment and in this position.

Minimum 4 years of experience managing people/projects.

Strong communication skills across departments and levels.

Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.

Ability to read and interpret electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic schematics.

Skill in shop equipment such as hydraulic/mechanical presses, bench grinders, drill presses, mills, lathes, and assorted power tools.

Proficiency with precision measuring equipment (calipers, dial indicators, bore gauges, depth gauges).

Willingness to act as a technical leader and trainer.

Preferred: 10+ years in the maintenance manufacturing environment and 6+ years managing people/projects.

Preferred experience in blow molding, injection molding, packaging, or beverage; 4 years with Krones, Husky, Sidel, or similar equipment.

Experience leading or training others in equipment repair.

Experience creating continuous improvement initiatives.

Skills in fabrication (cutting, welding – MIG, TIG, stick) and electrical systems (480VAC, 24VDC).

Experience repairing variable frequency drives, servo motors, PLC I/O, safety modules, and communication systems.

Education

Required: High School Diploma or GED.

Preferred: Associate’s Degree in manufacturing, manufacturing technology, mechatronics, industrial manufacturing, automation, or related field.

Compensation Pay Rate Type: Hourly — $38.95 – $55.51 per hour
