Overview The Lung Transplant APP has a strong foundation in evidence based practice and education and has a responsibility for ensuring an environment of safe quality care. The APP demonstrates an advanced level of medical and nursing knowledge, clinical and technical competency, sound clinical judgment, professionalism as it relates to interpersonal and general communication skills, timely and compliant documentation, and takes responsibility for ongoing professional development and competency validation.

Night Shift Details

Night positions will receive priority for PTO amongst the team.

Night positions automatically receive 10% increase in pay compared to day positions.

Night positions only work 6 shifts in a pay period rather than 7 shifts required for day positions.

Night shift; 6x 12-hour shifts per biweekly pay period

Physical Requirements The physical requirements for this position include regularly sitting, standing, walking, with some pushing, pulling, and or lifting objects weighing up to 10lbs and occasional pushing, pulling, and or lifting objects up to 50lbs.

Responsibilities The APP works in collaboration with a multidisciplinary healthcare team. The APP functions as a member of the lung transplant and thoracic surgery surgical management teams. In conjunction with the attending, the APP will oversee care from OR/inpatient to discharge and throughout all aspects of the continuum of care. The APP may provide care throughout the system including ICU, progressive, and telemetry.
