Position Summary CRi is seeking a collaborative and detail‑oriented Engagement Coordinator to support communication, engagement, and storytelling efforts across the organization. This entry‑level role focuses on implementation, coordination, and production support, working closely with the Communications Manager and the Development and Communications Team to carry out established strategies, workflows, and brand standards.

Layout, Design & Production Assistance

Serve as a production assistant for layout and design needs using established brand guidelines and templates.

Use Canva and/or Adobe Creative Suite to help create content for CRi, including materials for social media and internal and external communications.

Assist with pre‑branded layout tasks including business cards, flyers, one‑pagers, and internal and external templates.

Prepare and format images and visual assets for digital and print use.

Support visual consistency across platforms and materials.

Community Outreach, Photography & Videography Support

Attend CRi events to provide photography and videography aligned with organizational storytelling standards and clinical consent practices.

Capture, organize, and prepare photo and video assets for communications, engagement, and documentation purposes.

Coordinate with staff onsite to ensure appropriate coverage of programs, volunteers, and community events.

Support outreach and engagement documentation efforts.

Evening and weekend work may be required based on event schedules.

Social Media & Digital Content Support

Draft and assemble social media content for Communications Manager review and approval.

Follow CRi branding, messaging, and clinical consent practices in all storytelling, photography, videography, and content development.

Spearhead executing spontaneous opportunities to increase social media engagement and visibility.

Prepare captions, resize assets, organize media, and schedule approved posts across platforms.

Assist with routine social media performance tracking and reporting.

Support production needs for video and interactive content, including preparation, organizing footage, captioning, and asset management.

Contribute to storytelling and engagement content that highlights CRi’s mission, programs, and community impact, with a focus on supporting donor stewardship and broader fundraising goals in collaboration with the Development Team.

Apply brand guidelines to create templates and visual assets that the Development Coordinator can apply for onsite event signage and donor relations materials.

Website Support & Content Updates

Post content reviewed and approved by the Communications Manager, including blogs, newsletters, emails, and related website content.

Support routine website copy updates and factual edits using approved language and established workflows.

Populate website pages using approved copy, layouts, and content structures.

Maintain organized lists, workflows, and content libraries to support consistent and timely updates.

Collaborate with the Communications Manager and team members to identify routine updates, corrections, and ongoing website maintenance needs.

Support long‑term website sustainability through consistent application of documentation and content standards.

Teamwork and Strategic Alignment

Follow CRi branding, messaging, and clinical consent practices in all storytelling, photography, videography, and content development.

Work closely with the Development and Communications Team to support communications planning, execution, and engagement initiatives.

Support cross‑departmental initiatives that advance visibility and engagement.

Working Environment Monday–Friday schedule with a hybrid work arrangement. In‑office and in‑field work required, with approved remote work on Wednesdays and Fridays.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in communications, marketing, public relations, English, or a related field required.

Exceptional interpersonal skills and passion, commitment, and ability to represent CRi with enthusiasm, warmth, and professionalism.

Experience with website content management systems and digital platforms.

Proficiency with Microsoft Office and Microsoft Teams.

Experience using Canva and/or Adobe Creative Suite to support content creation for internal and external use.

Experience with photography and videography for organizational or event documentation.

Adobe Creative Suite experience preferred but not required.

Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.

Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.

Comfort with in‑field work, event coverage, and travel locally and to the Richmond area.
