Job Description:
The Material Handler is responsible for overseeing shipping and receiving operations, ensuring timely and efficient material flow between shipping and production. Responsibilities include maintaining dock organization, managing raw goods levels, moving finished products, and supporting other departments as needed.
Job Duties
Manage shipping and receiving department: loading/unloading trucks, visual inspections, keeping dock clear and ready.
Processing room support: maintain raw goods levels, move finished product pallets to cold storage, manage consumables, remove waste.
Basic sanitation & organization: keep warehouse floors clean, inspect for pests, maintain tool & consumable order.
Other duties assigned: cross‑department tasks such as packaging, processing, warehouse, or greenhouse operations.
Key Performance Indicators
Accurate completion of shipping and receiving tasks; docks ready at all times.
Maintain proper material levels and efficient product movement.
Keep warehouse & shipping areas clean, organized, debris free.
Respond quickly to support other departments.
Required Skills & Abilities
18 years of age or older.
Forklift certification (provided).
U.S. citizenship, legal migrant, or permanent resident.
Ability to work overtime/weekends if required.
Follow directions, clear communication, accept coaching.
Physical: see & color perception, hearing, ability to mount/dismount trucks, walk, bend, squat, kneel, reach, repetitive hand use, lift 50#, move 100 pounds.
Education & Experience
Warehouse experience preferred.
