Position Overview Chateau Rehabilitation and Nursing Center is seeking a dynamic and experienced
Assistant Director of Nursing (ADON) - Staff Educator
to join our leadership team. This dual‑role position supports the Director of Nursing (DON) with both administrative and clinical leadership responsibilities while overseeing the development, coordination, and delivery of nursing education programs.
The ideal candidate is a
Registered Nurse (RN)
with a strong background in staff development, clinical education, and regulatory compliance, who is passionate about mentoring and empowering nursing staff to deliver exceptional resident‑centered care.
Key Responsibilities
Assist the Director of Nursing with daily operations of the nursing department
Develop, implement, and evaluate comprehensive staff education and training programs
Conduct orientation and onboarding for new nursing employees
Provide ongoing in‑service education to ensure compliance with state, federal, and facility regulations
Monitor staff competencies and clinical performance, providing coaching and mentorship
Support quality assurance initiatives, audits, and performance improvement programs
Ensure adherence to infection control protocols, resident safety standards, and best nursing practices
Serve as a clinical resource and role model for professionalism, leadership, and teamwork
Qualifications
Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in New Jersey
Minimum 3-5 years of nursing leadership experience, preferably in long‑term care
Prior experience in staff education, training, or clinical instruction strongly preferred
Strong communication, presentation, and leadership skills
In‑depth knowledge of regulatory requirements and nursing practice standards
