Director of Maintenance & Environmental Services

Responsibilities
Supervise, lead, and schedule maintenance and housekeeping staff
Demonstrate strong organizational, time‑management, and multitasking skills
Ability to be “on call” as needed
Schedule and ensure completion of all facility maintenance and repairs
Conduct regular inspections for safety, upkeep, appearance, and equipment performance
Demonstrate working knowledge of HVAC, plumbing, electrical, mechanical systems, and building codes
Ensure compliance with State, Federal, OSHA, and life safety regulations
Maintain documentation related to inspections, repairs, and compliance
Develop and implement cleaning schedules, protocols, and infection control practices
Ensure compliance with health, safety, and sanitation standards
Manage inventory and ordering of cleaning supplies, tools, and maintenance equipment
Respond promptly to resident and staff housekeeping or maintenance concerns
Collaborate with other departments to support daily operations and resident care
Qualifications
High School Diploma or equivalent required
Supervisory and management experience required
Proven experience in maintenance and/or housekeeping leadership, preferably in a healthcare or nursing home setting
Strong knowledge of OSHA, life safety, and infection control standards
Schedule & Benefits
Schedule: Day shift, Manager on duty weekend requirements.
