Position Overview
Join as a Temporary to Permanent Full‑Time Forklift Operator at Ryder System in Hagerstown, Maryland. We hire immediately to keep our warehouses operating safely with state‑of‑the‑art equipment.
Compensation & Schedule Hourly pay: $21.00; overtime: $31.50; third shift premium: $1.50. 3rd Shift Sunday–Thursday 10:00 pm–6:00 am, overtime as needed.
Responsibilities
Perform warehouse functions including loading, picking, packing, shipping, receiving, forklift operation, and cycle counting.
Accurately pick and pack, audit, tote induction, stage products, and load and unload trucks.
Manage day‑to‑day paperwork: picking sheets, returns, bills of lading, etc.
Provide technical and maintenance support for automated packing systems during core shift hours.
Work within performance measurement guidelines of the contract.
Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
One (1) year or more related warehouse and/or powered industrial truck experience preferred.
Valid Forklift Operator’s License certified.
Strong verbal and written communication skills.
Ability to work independently and as a member of a team.
Highly thorough and dependable; punctual with good attendance record.
Demonstrates a high level of accuracy even under pressure.
Ability to lift and/or push/pull up to 35 lbs; stand for long periods.
Must be available to work a flexible schedule on various shifts.
Detail oriented with excellent follow‑up practices.
