The Opportunity Under direct supervision, the Meat Clerk provides friendly, courteous and helpful customer service. The role includes assisting customers, cleaning shelves and display cases, cleaning, filling, and rotating the Meat Wrap displays. The Meat Clerk works with customers to take special orders as well as with the Meat Cutter to determine which items need to be cut. The position requires lifting up to 50 lbs., bending, standing, and stooping for prolonged periods.
The working environment is typical for a fast‑paced grocery store, and essential functions of this job include physical requirements such as lifting, standing, walking, kneeling, and visual and auditory requirements. Food Handler Card or its equivalent certification is required for all positions related to preparation, handling and serving food.
