We’re looking for a dependable Maintenance Technician to join our growing team at Professional Home Buyers. You’ll perform general repairs, complete make‑ready tasks, maintain rental homes, and assist with renovation work on flip properties. This role is perfect for someone who enjoys hands‑on work, problem‑solving, and taking pride in improving homes for both tenants and buyers.
Responsibilities
Perform general maintenance and repairs in rental properties and renovation homes
Complete tasks efficiently and on schedule while working closely with the team
Communicate professionally with tenants, coworkers, and property managers
Troubleshoot and repair minor electrical, plumbing, and carpentry issues
Install appliances and equipment
Complete maintenance tasks such as changing light fixtures, repairing locks, replacing faucets, etc.
Assist with framing, installing baseboards, cabinets, and general finish work
Inspect homes, identify needed repairs, and report findings to the property manager
Work indoors and outdoors in varying weather conditions
Assist with fencing, siding, and other general labor tasks as needed
Qualifications
2+ years of residential maintenance experience preferred (willing to train the right candidate)
Strong basic skills in plumbing, electrical, HVAC, and carpentry
Experience using hand and power tools
Self‑motivated with strong communication and interpersonal skills
Dependable, punctual, and able to work independently or with a team
Valid driver’s license, reliable vehicle, and insurance
Own basic tools
Able to lift heavy items and perform physically demanding work
Must pass a pre‑employment background check and drug screening
Compensation: $17 – $22 hour DOE & skill level
