We are seeking a skilled Warehouse Technician to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for maintaining accurate inventory records, receiving and processing shipments, and organizing warehouse space. The ideal candidate will have experience in a warehouse environment, excellent organizational skills, and the ability to work independently. The Warehouse Technician performs deliveries and warehouse duties including cycle counting of inventory, ordering inventory as needed, receiving and stocking of shipments from vendors, filling requisitions for internal customers, assisting warehouse manager as directed, and overall neatness and cleanliness of the warehouse. Performs duties in the warehouse as directed by Warehouse Supervisor. This includes, but is not limited to: cycle count of inventory, ordering inventory as needed, pulling of orders for customers and entering requisitions and garage work orders in Pentamation system, receipt of vendor deliveries and entering receipts into Pentamation inventory system, ensuring accuracy and security of City inventory, assisting with customer determination of part numbers, ordering of parts. Vendor negotiations. Pick up parts from vendor locations as needed to expedite delivery of orders. Make replacement hydraulic hoses for City owned equipment. Deliver internal customer orders Perform all other related duties as assigned. Required:

High School Diploma or equivalent (G.E.D.) Valid driver’s license with an acceptable driving record (must obtain TX driver’s license within 90 days). Six months related experience, including inventory Ability to operate a forklift. Ability to read and to write legibly. Preferred:

Municipal government purchasing experience. Knowledge of the greater Houston area. Knowledge of auto and plumbing parts. Knowledge of area, ability to operate utility trucks, forklift, and various hand tools. Ability to get along appropriately with co-workers and the public.
