Summary
Under the supervision of the Facilities Manager, this position installs, maintains, and repairs machinery, equipment, physical structures, grounds, pipe, and electrical systems.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Keeps facilities in compliance with all guidelines and in good appearance.
Completes general repairs in all facilities.
Upon receipt of work orders performs a visual walk‑through of the facility upon arrival and does additional work if necessary.
Maintains and keeps tools in good working order.
Keeps an accurate inventory of tools.
Keeps maintenance areas neat and orderly.
Checks fuel oil levels.
Visually inspects and tests machinery and equipment as necessary.
Dismantles defective machines and equipment and installs new or repaired parts.
Cleans and lubricates shafts, bearings, gears, and other parts of machinery.
Assists in maintaining an adequate inventory of on‑hand supplies.
Installs and repairs electrical apparatus, such as transformers and wiring, and electrical and electronic components of machinery and equipment.
Lays out, assembles, installs, and maintains pipe systems and related hydraulic and pneumatic equipment, and repairs and replaces gauges, valves, pressure regulators, and related equipment.
Repairs and maintains the physical structure of the establishment.

Qualifications Required Education
High school diploma or equivalent
Required Experience
Minimum of one year related experience and/or training in general maintenance
Work Environment
This job regularly works in an indoor office environment and in outside weather conditions. The employee occasionally works near moving mechanical parts and in high, precarious places and is occasionally exposed to toxic or caustic chemicals, risk of electrical shock, and vibration.
Physical Demands
Regularly required to stand; walk; use hands to finger, handle, or feel objects, tools, or controls; reach with hands and arms; climb or balance; and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl.
Regularly required to lift and/or move up to 100 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move more than 100 pounds.
