Job Description
Educates, recruits, tracks, and follows up with women who receive abnormal breast cancer screening results to ensure access to diagnostic evaluation and biopsy if needed.
Facilitates an evidence‑based, multidisciplinary approach to breast cancer care throughout the diagnostic continuum.
Ensures patient understanding of breast biopsy procedures and assists with imaging breast biopsies as needed.
Participates in aftercare and follow‑up of patients who have had needle biopsies. Monitors patient scheduling and preparation for radiological guided breast biopsy, including MRI, PEM, ultrasound, and stereotactic core biopsy.
Contacts referring clinicians when patients need further diagnostic evaluation or breast biopsy. Tracks system metrics identified by the Breast Care Team and submits reports on established dates.
Qualification Requirements
The expertise and experiences you’ll need to succeed: Associate, Bachelor's, High School Grad or Equiv (Required) Basic Life Support - CPR Cert (BLS) - RQI Resuscitation Quality Improvement, Certified Radiologic Technologist (R.T.-CERT) - EV Accredited Issuing Body, Department of Safety and Professional Services Licensed (DSPS-LIC) - Accredited Issuing Body, Kentucky Board of Medical Imaging and Radiation Therapy (KBMIRT) - EV Accredited Issuing Body, Licensed Radiology Technologist - Kansas State Board of Healing Arts (L.R.T.) - Accredited Issuing Body, Medical Radiation Technology - IEMA (MRT-IEMA) - EV Accredited Issuing Body, Medical Radiologic Tech (MRT) - EV Accredited Issuing Body, Registered Diagnostic Medical Sonographer (RDMS) - EV Accredited Issuing Body, Registered Mammographer RT(R)(M)(ARRT) - EV Accredited Issuing Body, Registered Nurse (RN) - EV Accredited Issuing Body, Registered Technologist - Sonography (R.T.(S)(ARRT)) - Accredited Issuing Body
Pay Range
$26.08 - $48.50
