We are seeking a Maintenance Tech to join our community committed to delivering outstanding service to our residents. As a Maintenance Tech, you will play an important role in maintenance services for the entire community that meets or exceeds Buckner quality, service, and hospitality standards. What you’ll do:
Ensure maintenance of overall community and campus environment, including buildings and grounds, are met and maintained.
Maintain compliance with all Buckner policies, procedures and requirements, federal and state laws, and agency regulatory guidelines.
Repair clogged sinks, commodes, and drains.
Replace burned‑out light bulbs and perform basic electrical repairs.
Make minor repairs and adjustments.
Perform basic carpentry, plumbing, and paint work.
Assist with skilled maintenance work as requested.
Assist staff as needed to provide assistance to residents and support community operations.
Detect, correct, or report situations that could cause accidents or injuries to residents or others.
What you’ll bring:
High School diploma or GED.
Minimum one-year related experience.
Knowledge of and ability to learn food serving, cleanliness, and sanitation requirements.
Ability to use up to 100 pounds of force occasionally and/or up to 50 pounds frequently and/or 20 pounds continuously to move food service and preparation equipment and other objects.
Ability to walk and stand for prolonged periods, turning, stooping, kneeling, crouching, reaching, pushing, pulling, standing, and walking over 75% of the shift.
Ability to work with objects, equipment, and machines where depth perception and field of vision are important.
Ability to stand, walk, climb stairs and ladders, and push and pull heavy materials and equipment.
Ability to recognize differences in sound generated by equipment or machinery indicating operating problems or safety concerns.
Ability to work under close supervision performing routine, standardized tasks with some initiative and judgment.
Ability to perform tasks with due consideration for residents in the vicinity and to cooperate and work with other employees.
Ability to learn to adjust and operate electrically powered tools and hand tools.
