Job Schedule: Full Time

We are seeking a Floor Technician to join our community committed to delivering outstanding services to our residents, associates, visitors, and families. As a Floor Technician, you will play an important role in ensuring the community visibly meets or exceeds Buckner quality, service, and hospitality standards. What you’ll do:

Cleans, mops and treats floors; strips, waxes, and buff floors.

Mixes, dilutes housekeeping chemicals and products according to instructions.

Vacuums all hallway floors, cleans all carpeted areas using an extraction machine; treats and cleans spills and stains as needed.

Cleans windows and light fixtures.

Keeps utility storage rooms and equipment room in good order.

Empties trash containers located in trash rooms as needed.

Makes minor repairs and adjustments; replaces light bulbs, repairs clogged sinks, commodes and drains.

Assists in moving furniture and equipment.

Maintains cleaning equipment in good order.

Performs other duties as assigned by supervisor.

Maintains compliance with all Buckner policies, procedures, and requirements, federal and state laws, and agency regulatory guidelines.

What you’ll bring:

Ability to read, write and understand business documents written in English.

Ability to communicate verbally with residents, families, visitors, and co‑workers. Ability to make self clearly understood by others.

Ability to understand and follow basic written and oral step‑by‑step instructions.

Basic knowledge of cleaning requirements and cleaning agents.

Ability to move cleaning equipment throughout the facility, using up to 50 pounds of force occasionally, and/or up to 20 pounds of force frequently, and/or a small amount of force continuously to move objects.

Turns, stoops, kneels, crouches, reaches, pushes, pulls, handles, stands, walks over 75% of shift.

Ability to learn to adjust and operate electric‑powered cleaning equipment. Ability to work with hand tools.

Ability to make small repairs to plumbing fixtures.

Ability to perform tasks with due consideration for residents in vicinity and ability to cooperate and work with other employees.

Ability to work under close supervision performing routine standardized tasks.

Ability to comply with patient rights, all regulatory requirements, and all company policies and procedures as stated now and in the future.
