Job Summary We are seeking an experienced PV Solar Foreman to oversee and lead installation crews on multiple concurrent roof-mounted photovoltaic (PV) solar projects for school districts. This role focuses on commercial-scale rooftop systems, ensuring safe, high-quality, timely, and code-compliant installations while managing resources across several sites simultaneously.

Key Responsibilities

Lead and supervise installation teams in mounting racking, rails, panels, waterproofing, and electrical components on school rooftops.

Manage multiple projects at once, including scheduling, resource allocation, progress tracking, and coordination with school administrators, subcontractors, and stakeholders.

Enforce strict safety protocols, OSHA compliance, and fall protection measures for work at heights.

Interpret blueprints site assessments, and schematics to ensure installations meet design specifications, local codes, and educational facility requirements.

Oversee quality control, system commissioning, troubleshooting, and final inspections.

Train crew members, resolve on-site issues, and maintain accurate project records and documentation.

Promote productivity, customer service, and minimal disruption to school operations.

Qualifications

5+ years of experience as a solar foreman or lead installer, preferably on commercial roof-mounted systems.

Strong knowledge of PV equipment, electrical wiring, roofing techniques, and NABCEP certification preferred.

Proven ability to manage multiple projects and crews effectively.

Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills; comfortable working outdoors and at heights.
