Program Coordinator
Program Coordinator at Harborview Medical Center—Oral Maxillofacial Surgery Clinic—offers a six‑month full‑time temporary assignment focused on managing patient referrals and administrative support.
Work Schedule Full‑time, Days (40 hr/wk) – Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.

Primary Job Responsibilities
Develop, implement, and oversee referral process for internal and external referrals
Serve as primary contact for new patients and referring clinics
Complete full registration for patients new to UW Medicine
Obtain prior authorization from managed care plans as needed
Obtain necessary medical records, imaging, pathology items, etc.
Maintain referral work queue and databases for tracking referrals
Schedule complex appointments, including post‑op and correctional facility patients
Collaborate with clinic leadership, team members, and providers to ensure timely appointment of referrals
Cover reception desk during staffing shortages
Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in a medically related or public relations field
Two years’ experience in tertiary patient care setting, interacting with medical services, patients, families, physicians, and proficient in medical terminology
OR an equivalent combination of education/experience
Compensation, Benefits & Position Details
Pay range minimum: $47,724.00 annually
Pay range maximum: $68,244.00 annually
Temporary position
Shift: First Shift (US)
FTE: 100.00%
Union/Bargaining Unit: SEIU Local 925 Nonsupervisory
