Key Responsibilities
Setting up a new provider Lead the selection process with logistics purchasing, document requirements, develop business cases, and facilitate final contractual agreements.
Contract review Conduct regular performance reviews with the provider, covering organizational changes, business trends, KPI performance, process improvement, and operational issues.
Operational reviews & issues Resolve operational issues between the provider and PHINIA, escalating to the North American Warehouse & Distribution Manager as needed.
Performance monitoring & improvement Publish and review contractual KPIs monthly, support corrective actions, and drive process improvements with financial impact analysis.
Cost improvement Support cost improvement initiatives across logistics spend, working with stakeholders to evaluate and implement improvements.
Change management Lead business cases and impact analyses for provider scope changes, ensuring timely, budget‑conscious execution with minimal disruption.
Inventory control Manage provider execution of inventory cycle counts, reconciliations, and adjustments in line with PHINIA policies.
Process audits Plan and execute annual audits of provider procedures, maintaining evidence and action plans for any findings.
Invoice validation Validate invoices, ensure correct rates and charges, and collaborate with finance for cost performance reporting.
Cross‑functional support Act as backup for Business Analyst and Senior Logistics & Operations Specialist, coordinating inbound/outbound transportation and maintaining continuity during absences.
What We’re Looking For
Self‑motivated, well‑organized team player who thrives under pressure.
Daily attendance required at the Plainfield distribution center.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
Knowledge of 3PLs, freight carriers, and equipment providers.
Experience with Warehouse, Transport, and Customs operations.
Familiarity with WMS/ERP systems (SAP preferred).
5+ years of warehouse management experience.
Project management experience.
Experience in Lean techniques and problem solving.
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent workplace experience.
