Director of Warehouse, Logistics & Production Planning

Director of Warehouse, Logistics & Production Planning , you’ll be at the center of ensuring seamless material flow, world-class food safety, and cost efficiency across the entire facility. From inbound receiving to outbound distribution, your leadership will power reliable manufacturing and exceptional customer service.
This is a pivotal position that aligns supply chain, inventory accuracy, and production planning to deliver results that matter—supporting growth, continuous improvement, and operational success.
What You’ll Do Warehouse Operations
Own all daily warehouse activities with a laser focus on compliance, safety, and efficiency.
Implement best-in‑class SOPs for receiving, storage, staging, and shipping.
Maintain an organized, audit‑ready environment that meets frozen food safety standards.
Ensure timely issuance of raw materials and packaging to keep production running smoothly.
Drive cost control and traceability through accurate material accounting.
Logistics & Distribution
Optimize outbound transportation and distribution strategies for maximum efficiency.
Build strong partnerships with carriers and 3PL providers, negotiating competitive rates.
Monitor KPIs like on‑time delivery and freight cost per pound, and implement cost‑saving initiatives without sacrificing service.
Inventory Control
Lead and develop a high‑performing Inventory Control team.
Implement robust systems to ensure accuracy and minimize shrink.
Oversee cycle counts, root‑cause analysis, and corrective actions.
Collaborate with Procurement and Planning to keep inventory aligned with demand.
Production Scheduling
Guide the Production Scheduler to create accurate, efficient schedules that meet customer needs.
Set clear KPIs and OKRs for planning excellence.
Leadership & Development
Inspire and mentor teams across Warehouse, Inventory Control, Logistics, and Scheduling.
Foster a culture of safety, accountability, and continuous improvement.
Drive professional growth and succession planning.
Quality & Compliance
Champion food safety and regulatory compliance, including SQF, FDA, and USDA standards.
Partner with FSQA for audit readiness and HACCP participation.
Budget & Reporting
Manage budgets, analyze costs, and identify efficiency opportunities.
Deliver insightful reports on performance metrics to executive leadership.
Other Key Contributions
Lead ERP conversion initiatives.
Drive Lean practices and continuous improvement projects.
What You Bring
Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Business, or related field (or equivalent experience).
7+ years of progressive leadership in warehouse, logistics, or supply chain.
Expertise in ERP/WMS systems and Microsoft Office.
Proven success in frozen or temperature‑controlled environments.
Strong knowledge of DOT, OSHA, and food safety regulations.
Preferred
Master’s degree or certifications (APICS, CSCMP, Lean Six Sigma).
Experience with automation and logistics technology.
Track record of cost reduction and OKR‑driven performance.
