Position Summary The Demand Planning Manager leads the forecasting process to ensure product availability, optimal inventory levels, and alignment between supply and market demand. This role is responsible for developing accurate forecasts, collaborating cross‑functionally with Sales, Marketing, Finance, and Supply Chain teams, and driving the S&OP process to support operational and financial goals.

Responsibilities

Forecast Development & Optimization – develop, maintain, and refine statistical demand forecasts using historical data, market trends, and predictive analytics.

S&OP / IBP Process Leadership – lead the monthly S&OP or Integrated Business Planning cycle, facilitate cross‑functional meetings, and present key forecast changes, risks, and opportunities to leadership.

Inventory & Supply Alignment – partner with Supply Planning and Procurement to support inventory strategies and mitigate supply/demand imbalances such as stockouts, excess, and capacity issues.

Data Analysis & Reporting – monitor forecasting KPIs, conduct root cause analysis on forecast errors, and develop dashboards and reporting tools to enhance visibility and decision‑making.

Cross‑Functional Collaboration – collaborate closely with Sales, Marketing, and Finance to incorporate insights, promotional impacts, and financial projections into demand forecasting.

Process & Systems Improvement – drive adoption of advanced planning systems, standardize forecasting processes, and apply best practices in statistical modeling, segmentation, and demand sensing.

Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Business, Statistics, Analytics, or related field.

5–10+ years of experience in demand planning, forecasting, or supply chain analytics.

Strong analytical skills and proficiency with forecasting tools (APS, ERP, Excel, statistical models).

Excellent communication, facilitation, and stakeholder management abilities.

Ability to translate data insights into actionable business decisions.

Experience with S&OP or Integrated Business Planning preferred.

Certifications such as APICS/CPIM/CSCP or IBF’s CPDF/CPF preferred.
