Associate Scientist (HPLC/UPLC/Capillary Electrophoresis)
We are currently seeking a research associate for the Drug Product Technologies group in Thousand Oaks, CA. The successful candidate will perform experiments related to the development of formulations for therapeutic proteins, including stability testing and analytical characterization.
Qualifications
1+ year of industry or academia experience in a lab setting with pipetting, sample preparation & handling, HPLC chromatography, and protein sample analysis.
BS degree in pharmaceutics, biochemistry, chemistry, or a related life sciences discipline.
Strong understanding of protein biochemistry and protein structure.
Significant experience with basic laboratory skills and biophysical techniques related to protein analysis.
Background in protein solution manipulation (e.g., pipetting, dialysis, concentration) and HPLC analysis.
Experience with visible and sub-visible particle analysis and other analytical methods desirable.
Motivation, good problem‑solving skills, aptitude to learn and implement new techniques or skills.
Excellent written and oral communication skills, capability to work efficiently in teams and independently.

Plan and execute lab experiments with protein formulations, including stability testing.
Process data and manage electronic laboratory notebook records.

Collaborate with investigators and assist in the design and execution of experiments.
