Role Summary
This role will oversee and execute all selling activities within the designated territory, supporting customers and end‑users. The function serves as a product expert, building strong relationships and ensuring satisfaction with CSI products.
Duties and Responsibilities
Achieve sales, profit, and market share targets with channel partners and end users in the assigned territory as part of the overall sales and marketing plan for the division.
Act as a steward of the CSI portfolio by making recommendations and managing complaints/issues in the field as needed, in partnership with the Technical Service Managers.
Develop and execute a territory plan by expanding market awareness of our products through communicating features and benefits of products successfully.
Communicate sales and marketing opportunities with existing and new business opportunities.
Identify and resolve any customer concerns and recommend a course of action to alleviate future concerns; communicate to leadership quickly on corrective actions.
Participate in meetings, training sessions, tradeshows, conferences, webinars, and professional development opportunities corporately and with existing customer base.
Maintain awareness of pertinent customer information, future plans, payment performance, and communicate any information that would affect company decisions.
Maintain an understanding and knowledge of competitor products and programs by identifying and reporting intelligence on pricing and marketing strategies.
Submit ongoing territory reports via Salesforce.com to include daily activities, competitor information, and customer interaction.
Skills and Abilities
Highly motivated self‑starter who can work autonomously and as part of a team in a fast‑paced, changing environment.
High level of initiative, creative thinking, decision making, and problem resolution skills.
Ability to manage multiple tasks with shifting priorities and timelines.
Inherent ability to influence with outstanding communication and interpersonal skills to gain trust.
Requirements
BS/BA (preferably) in Ag Business or Marketing.
Ability to travel extensively within territory (80% of the time).
Reliable transportation with clean driving record.
Goal of becoming successful in performing territory development activities and personal growth opportunities within Control Solutions.
Knowledge of advertising and sales promotion techniques.
