Position Information
Working Title: CPR Coordinator
Position Status: Part Time
Department: Continuing Education
General Summary:
Oversees the planning, coordination and delivery of all AHA training programs for Odessa College AHA Training Center, schools, hospitals and community members. Serves as the primary resource and point of contact for AHA assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of classes, instructors, and participants. This is a part‑time position which will require a flexible schedule and may include some evening and weekend coverage at the front desk. This position will primarily serve as the point of contact for all American Heart Association requests for service.
Specific Position Duties
Provide excellent customer service to internal and external customers.
Greet customers at the front desk and provide information to students.
Answer telephones and communicate effectively with prospective and current students.
Serve as a liaison between AHA Training Site customers.
Schedule instructors for a variety of classes.
Maintain instructor database and keep all instructor files current.
Organize and build courses.
Utilize registration software.
Ensure manikin integrity, infection prevention, and the availability of resource materials.
Issue AHA cards to Training Sites and Customers.
Track and create utilization reports for AHA.
Maintain equipment and occasionally order supplies.
Familiarize with the PAM AHA Manual.
Update AHA guidelines into all AHA courses.
Communicate and hold update sessions on course material, policies, etc. to all instructors.
Other duties as assigned.
Submit course‑related training documents and regular communications using online, web‑based technology.
Exhibit excellent written, oral and interpersonal skills.
Physical requirement: Lift up to 50 pounds of equipment when working/moving equipment for set up, storage, and cleaning.
Minimum Qualifications One year of experience in a healthcare setting in nursing, allied health, or EMS field to include pre‑hospital.
Preferred Qualifications Hold a current American Heart Association (AHA) Provider certification in BLS, PALS, or ACLS.
