Ballet & Pointe Instructor Position
We are looking for a part-time substitute ballet and pointe instructor with strong proficiency in teaching advanced ballet and pointe curriculum.
Qualifications
Excellent character, dependable, and punctual
Strong proficiency in ballet, pointe & pre-pointe is a must (jazz or lyrical experience a plus but not required)
Experience with the process of training and preparing students for pointe promotion
Ability to manage and nurture a group class with a balance between discipline, care, and respect
Experience choreographing for recitals
Willingness to assist with recitals and dress rehearsals
Interest in continuous learning and working together with a team of instructors
Dance degree or professional experience not required but a strong plus
Responsibilities
Prepare class curriculum for structured and appropriately challenging classes
Work with age-appropriate music and choreography for recital routines
Execute relevant, motivational and inspirational classes for aspiring dancers
Maintain class discipline with respect
Attend monthly staff meetings (flexible)
Compensation $20-$40/ hour
*Rate of pay is determined by various factors, including but not limited to knowledge, skills, experience, and education.
