Applicants internal to the UCM Department of Applied Mathematics who had an appointment in 2024‑2025 and apply by the Initial Review Date will be considered prior to all other applicants. The School of Natural Sciences anticipates hiring full and part‑time lecturer positions to teach the following subjects in AY 2025‑2026: Biostatistics Preparatory Calculus Calculus I & II Introduction to Scientific Data Analysis Statistics for Scientific Data Analysis Calculus I & II for Physical Sciences Vector Calculus, Linear Algebra and Differential Equations Probability and Statistics Numerical Analysis Other courses as needed In addition to teaching the course(s), the instructor will be evaluating student work and exams, calculating and posting grades, and holding regular posted office hours each week. This is a limited‑term appointment which falls under the purview of the agreement for the Lecturers Unit between University of California and the American Federation of Teachers. Terms and conditions of employment are subject to UC policy and appropriate collective bargaining agreement.
