Offer Description COMPETITION 1

The Rector of the Warsaw University of Live Sciences- SGGW in Warsaw announces a multi-stage competition for the position of assistant in a group of research and teaching staff in the field: social sciences or humanities in discipline pedagogy at the Institute of Sociological Sciences and Pedagogy in the Deparment of Pedagogy.

The candidate applying for the above-mentioned position must meet the requirements specified in Article 113 of the Act of 20 July 2018 - The Law on Higher Education and Science (consolidated text: Journal of Laws of 2023, item 742, as amended) and in § 89 paragraph 1 item 4) of the University Statute - Annex to Resolution No. 71 - 2024/2025 of the Senate of the Warsaw University of Life Sciences of 31 March 2025 on the draft amendments to the Statute of the Warsaw University of Life Sciences and the draft consolidated text of the Statute of the Warsaw University of Life Sciences.

Skills/Qualifications

At least a master's degree and/or a doctoral degree in the social sciences or humanities in the discipline of pedagogy, preferably in the field of care and educational pedagogy;

Teaching achievements and/or experience in the field of care and educational pedagogy, biomedical foundations of development;

Research and teaching interests and the ability to develop them;

Documented knowledge of at least good English or another congressional language, sufficient to independently write scientific publications in that language and present reports at scientific conferences;

Knowledge of Polish to the extent necessary to conduct classes with students in that language.

Specific Requirements

Required documents:

1) an application addressed to the Rector of the Warsaw University of Life Sciences (SGGW);

2) a personal questionnaire (form issued by the secretary's office of the Institute of Sociological Sciences and Pedagogy of the Warsaw University of Life Sciences);

3) a curriculum vitae (resume) and a CV;

4) a statement confirming compliance with the requirements of Article 113 of the Act on Higher Education (Journal of Laws of 2018, item 1668) – forms issued by the secretary's office of the Institute of Sociological Sciences and Pedagogy of the Warsaw University of Life Sciences;

5) a copy of the diploma awarding the professional title of master's degree and/or doctoral degree in the field of social sciences or humanities (scientific discipline of pedagogy) or another document confirming the professional title of master's degree and/or doctoral degree in the field of social sciences or humanities (scientific discipline of pedagogy);

6) a list of scientific achievements, including a list of published works and the number of points assigned to each publication, and, if the candidate has teaching experience, a list of teaching achievements;

7) confirmation of at least good knowledge of English or another congressional language, sufficient to independently write scientific publications in that language and present reports at scientific conferences;

8) a recent evaluation by the committee responsible for teaching (applies to University employees).

Additional Information Eligibility criteria

An additional advantages of the candidate will be:

Achievements and/or teaching experience in play therapy, care and educational methodology, extracurricular activity organization methodology, educational workshops, biomedical foundations of development and education, and students with chronic illnesses in the school environment;

Internships abroad at research centers or demonstrable international research activity;

Leadership of a research project or submission of an application for funding for such a project; - Professional experience in care and educational institutions;

Teamwork skills and availability;

The candidate should demonstrate positive personality traits, particularly creativity, responsibility, conscientiousness, and diligence, communication skills, a willingness to deepen knowledge, the ability to collaborate in national and international teams, and friendliness and loyalty to the team in which they will be employed.

Final date of the second stage of the competition: January 27, 2026

In the second stage of the competition, the Competition Committee invites candidates who meet the requirements set out in the competition announcement to an interview. Please be advised that the competition process may be canceled at any stage without giving any reason, without any financial or legal consequences.
